Undray wanted to come across on camera the way he does with his clients.

One Root Mortgages

Undray Griffith, founder of One Root Mortgages

Undray Griffith is a mortgage adviser, and in December 2025 he launched his own business, One Root Mortgages, in Brighton and Hove.

I started filming him in 2024, before One Root existed, and over five filming days we've made more than twenty short videos for his Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, a film for his website, a set of portraits and the testimonial you can play here.

Where he started

Undray told us that when he started, he found the setup could be very overwhelming.

His day job is talking to clients across a desk or on a laptop, and on a shoot there are lights and cameras pointed at him, so he'd worry he wasn't saying things right, or sitting right, or doing any of it correctly.

If you spend your days with clients the way he does, you can probably picture it.

He also sets himself high standards and likes to present himself in a particular way, so the films had to look as considered as he does.

“Kevan was able to just nurture me and teach me how to be more comfortable, be more relaxed, and be myself.”

What working with us involved

  1. On-camera coaching

Most of the coaching has happened on set. For his website film we set his script out on the prompter one breath to a line, so the pauses fell where he needed them. And since May 2026 we've filmed him with a teleprompter, so he can read lines he wrote himself and keep his mind on how he's saying them.

  2. Script review

Undray writes his own scripts, and they're good. Before we filmed the one for his website in September, we went through it line by line and set it out for the prompter two ways, once exactly as he'd written it and once tightened, so we could choose on the day.

  3. Photography

On 26 August 2025 we photographed him as well as filming him, and there are 80 portraits from that afternoon, taken inside, out on a terrace and up on a rooftop.

  4. Editing

In 2026 each of his editors got a brief from us with his brand colours, the gold and dark brown from the One Root logo, and his captions are white with the key words in gold, which is how he asked for them. I look at the cuts before he does. Back in 2024 I sent two of his videos back because the graphics still had dollar signs on them, and Undray works in pounds.

What we made

Most of what we've made with Undray is him talking straight to the people he advises, in short videos he posts himself, and the set has grown with each shoot.

  1. 2024

His first series came together over the summer of 2024, short explainers filmed on two cameras, back when he was posting as Dre The Mortgage Broker.

  2. 2025

Eight more films and the portraits came out of one day in August 2025, finished over that winter just as One Root opened.

  3. 2026

In May we filmed ten more from his own scripts, along with the testimonial on this page, and in September a longer film for his website.

In his words

At the end of the shoot in May we asked Undray what working together had been like, and this is some of what he said.

Undray's testimonial · 1:05
  1. “The overall feedback I get is the content is really professional. You can see the attention to detail, the quality and the time that’s spent in making the videos.”

    Undray Griffith
  2. “Since doing videos, that has raised the awareness. It’s also allowed me to have a presence on social media.”

  3. “I don’t think I could work with someone who is not as polished and not as professional as Kevan.”

    Undray Griffith

“I can be myself, I can express myself. And that’s how I want to come across to my audience.”

Undray Griffith, on why he keeps coming back

“Kevan’s going to allow you to be yourself and allow you to express yourself. The videos will be really professional and you’ll be able to get your message across.”

Start a conversation

I think of a project like this as a way in to building a YouTube channel full of what you know, with films that are still doing their job years after they're made.

Whenever we make longer films, they're for your website and for sending to people directly, and most of all they're for YouTube.

A lot of the people I film are a bit like Undray was at the start. They're completely at home talking to a client, and then a room full of lights and cameras throws them.

So what would you want a client to know about you before they ever pick up the phone?
