Helene first sent me her videos in 2020, and three years later we were in Stockholm filming the conference she'd helped put together.
Helene Rennervik, coach and co-founder of Nord Bridges Global
Helene Rennervik is a coach based in Sweden.
I made the video on her website and a film about why she became a coach, and in September 2023 the producer Megan Bay Dorman and I flew out to film United Against Hatred, the conference she and Kerstin Dejemyr held for Nord Bridges Global, the organisation they founded together.
Where it started
In July 2020 I made an outro for a batch of videos she'd sent over, and she came back for more over the next couple of years.
At the end of 2021 we filmed a video for her website, and a few weeks later I finished a second film, about why she became a coach.
I think one of the best compliments you can get is a client who asks you for another project, and Helene has been one of those clients.
So when she and Kerstin planned a conference in Stockholm in 2023, they brought me in to film it, and to make the films that would show people who Nord Bridges are.
What working with us involved
Script review
Helene wrote the script for the video on her website herself, and I kept my changes small, because I didn't want to change her wording so much that she might sound too American. Then I asked her to read it out loud, to check it still flowed naturally for her before it went on the teleprompter.

Editing
In 2022 I added her logo and a text intro to one of her videos, ready to do the rest the same way, and I recut one of her films with animated captions, a title and sound effects.
Then in 2023, when she was thinking about using the videos we'd made for her on her website and social media, I introduced her to an editor who does that kind of work, and suggested she look at her podcast interviews too.

Photography
I'm insistent on adding photographs whenever we're hired for video, so at the conference we took photographs of the day while we filmed it.

What we made
Some of it was for Helene's coaching, and the rest came out of three days around the conference on 21 September 2023.
That trip was the first project where I'd worked with a producer, and I said at the time there was no going back.
